Henry's Room at Goodnestone Park

The blues in Henry's Room at Goodnestone Park are rich and sumptuous and it's one of our favourites! The room is named after Henry Plumptre, the second eldest son of the 21st Baron FitzWalter Brook Plumptre and has been beautifully designed by Francesca Rowan Plowden who chose dark rich Hague Blue by Farrow and Ball for the walls which work perfectly with the gold sunburst mirror above the bed making the crisp white cotton sheets look even more inviting!

Goodnestone says "While the room has a distinctly modern aura in its pristine finish, it maintains a classical feeling; the restored original wooden flooring after the house’s 2015 renovation and ornate tables that survived a destructive fire in 1959 act as constant reminders of the rich history of this 18th-century house."

Thank you to Goodnestone Park and Francesca for creating such a special place for us to enjoy during our Hand Sewing and Quilting Retreat in October. Find out more by clicking the button below.
